The BICD is a PADI Career Development Center, Gold Palm Resort and the 2005 Project Aware Environmental Achievement Award Winner - all recognitions for our dedication to Pro level career dive training, the aquatic environment and you.  

   Our facilities are well regarded as the best in Central America, starting inside our water front location. We are the only facility in the Bay Islands that has classrooms, training pool and direct access to the ocean in one spot. This saves you a lot of time running around.

   The center includes; a dedicated IDC classroom with digital presentation media, internet access, air conditioning, fresh water training pool, a hot tub for relaxing debriefings, and our rooftop Restaurant, catering to International tastes and hosting nightly fun events. We have 3 dedicated dive boats, a complete digital imaging division, and an internet café.

   Our facilities also include Utila’s only Hyperbaric Chamber and Trauma Center. We are a Divers Alert Network recommended facility and help set the standard for safe diving practices on Utila.

  Onsite is our sister company, the Utila Lodge a world class, waterfront, all-inclusive diving resort. This means greater exposure to yet another aspect of the diving industry that only we can provide to you.

   The Whale Shark & Oceanic Research Center (www.wsorc.com), another onsite company, is the only facility in Honduras recognized by the government to conduct research on the Whale Sharks and reefs of Utila.
