APADI IDC
Preparation Course (2 days)
This relaxed two day program better prepares you for
the IDC and beyond.
 This
program is designed to help candidates to refresh
their diving skills and Divemaster dive theory prior
to the IDC and also a chance for those not already
certified as Enriched Air Divers to become
certified as EANx Divers …!!!
Why
Enriched Air (EANx)?? It is becoming more and more
mainstream, Recent changes to PADI standards again
serve to highlight the importance of understanding
EANx, you can offer an EANx module on OW Dive 4, you
have the chance of taking EANx as an Adventure Dive,
there is the option of doing a “Discover Nitrox”
none of these you can teach unless you are a EANx
Instructor!!!
The EANx Prep consists of EANx theory and Practical
Application with a review and use of ALL the latest
PADI materials – DVD, Outline, exam etc.
For those without PADI EANx certification the dives
can be conducted during the IDC which – for a
minimal cost – will give you PADI EANx Diver
certification!!! And as an added bonus after you
have successfully completed your IDC/IE we will
include the EANx Instructor course FREE OF CHARGE!!!
IDC Prep
For those Divemasters who skills and dive theory knowledge
are a little rusty then the IDC prep day is just for
you it also gives us an opportunity to get to know
you and which areas we
need to concentrate on
The IDC prep program consists of both Confined Water
and classroom sessions
during which we will review the 20 skills of the
PADI skill circuit, focusing on your demonstration
abilities We will review in detail the 5 topics that
make up the dive theory Exams: Physics, Physiology,
The Recreational Dive Planner, Equipment and General
Skills & The Diving Environment and go through some
“mock” exams in readiness for the IDC and IE
We
will also run a Rescue Workshop where we can make
sure you are familiar and comfortable with the PADI
Rescue Diver Course Exercise #7: Unconscious Diver
at the Surface.
For
those lacking current CPR status (within the past 24
months) an EFR Update is available as part of the
Prep. This two hour add-on focuses on the 10 skills
that make up Primary Assessment and Secondary
Assessment - injury and Illness assessment.
The
cost of EFR recertification with PADI is 16 $USD.
The IDC Prep is a great way to ease yourself into
"IDC learning mode", familiarize yourself with the
facilities, meet and get to know your fellow
candidates, Course Director and the IDC Staff.
A complete library of PADI training materials:
manuals, videos, reference texts - INCLUDING ALL
PADI MULTIMEDIA PRODUCTS - is available for review
and reference throughout the IDC Prep and IDC!!!

A review of the PADI Dive Theory topics Physics,

Environment - with a mock exam you have not seen
before : and a review of the PADI Skill Circuit and
the Evaluation Criteria.
