Recreational Scuba diving
Training at BICD
Utila has wonderful extensive reefs and walls, part
of the Meso American reef system, the second largest
reef system in the world. This makes it an ideal
place in which to learn to scuba dive or to take
your adventure to the next level.
The BICD offers affordable PADI
courses for the beginner to the professional. The
latest PADI system of diver education is taught in
small classes. BICD class size is only 4 divers per
Instructor (the usual on Utila is 8!), ensuring that everyone leaves our school
not only with their certification, but a great
experience.
At BICD we teach all levels of PADI
recreational training from Open Water Diver to
Master Scuba Diver. We have courses starting
everyday so you will be able to start your training
as soon as you arrive. We also offer a "Change of
Lifestyle" professional training program opening the
door to become a working PADI Pro.

We also train divers in all the PADI
Specialty diving programs and even have some
programs developed in house to expand your knowledge
of the marine environment. We also offer non-diving
programs, such as Gas Blender and Equipment
specialist.
