PADI DEEP SPECIALTY Course
What is there in the depths?...
Although there is plenty to see above 60 feet/18 meters, most divers want to explore the deeper parts of the ocean after they feel comfortable with the scuba experience.
There is a great change in the composition of the reef; life is over taken by the abundance of sponges,
strange critters and light emanating plankton. To truly enjoy the whole experience we will equip you with a dive light so you can appreciate the amazing array of colors.
There’s a sense of mystique and adventure to deep diving! The only way to fully experience the breathtaking view of a deep wall is by being deep and looking up to see the sun breaking through the shimmering surface above the wall.
Pre-requisites of this course are min age of 15, and min certification of advanced or above. These are to ensure safe execution due to the related pressure of the nitrogen.
During this course you will learn:
- Techniques for diving in the deeper range of 18-40 meters/ 60-130 feet
- Deep scuba diving equipment considerations
- Experience in planning, organizing and making at least four deep dives under the supervision of your PADI Instructor
- How to control and handle symptoms of nitrogen narcosis
