Enriched Air (Nitrox) Specialty

Tired of having to end your dive because of Nitrogen absorption, rather than because your air is low? Well here at BICD we have the answer….More bottom time, means more fish, more opportunity to fulfill your dive objective. This is a two dive specialty and
is normally conducted over one or two days depending on your schedule or wishes.
As with all things on this planet there are pros and cons. Many additional safety procedures with extra calculations to work out dive profiles. Staying within the limits of nitrox is so much easier, control your depth and learn for yourself why this is becoming the world’s most popular tank fill.
This specialty is PADI’s most popular specialty course. Scuba diving with enriched air (nitrox) gives you more no decompression dive time, which means more time underwater, especially on repetitive scuba dive.
During this course you will learn:
- Techniques for getting more dive time by using enriched air nitrox
- Enriched air scuba diving equipment considerations
- Enriched air considerations, including managing oxygen exposure, how to tell what’s in your scuba tank, and how to set your dive computer.
- Air analysis
- Supervise as the compressor operator fills your tank with precision.
