RESEARCH CENTER
Bay Islands College of Diving has an onsite research center!
The Whale Shark and Oceanic Research Center, a Honduran NGO where internships are available. If you want to experience working with likeminded ocean enthusiasts and want to further add to your resume, let us know! You will learn how to conduct research dives, give Whale Shark awareness presentations, see how Whale Shark tagging works and gather statistics and data about the state of Utila’s reef and it’s beautiful creatures.

The Bay Islands College of Diving has been an established dive center for 20 years, which is why our facilities are easily among the best in the Caribbean. As a Divemaster candidate, you will also benefit from these facilities during your course. You will get:

Perfect for quietly hiding away to study, relax with a beer after a busy day of diving or just to watch the sunset with the rest of the team!
