Your Training

Training begins with knowledge development in one of our multi media and air conditioned classrooms. Once your dive theory is established we will move on to our indoor pool and take your first breaths underwater! After getting comfortable in the controlled environment of the pool we will jump off our dock to fine tune your skills next to our artificial house reef.

Now that we’ve formed our base of dive skills it’s time to hop onto one of our spacious dive boats; The Neptune, The Tiburon or The Sea Sprite and build on what we’ve learnt by exploring and navigating some of Utila’s many beautiful dive sites.

Did you know?

Utila is located on the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef, which is the second largest reef system in the world!

Why Choose Us?

Because we limit our class sizes well below PADI limitations, you will have the most possible one-on-one time with your dive instructor. This will allow you to really understand why they love scuba diving so much and what you can do to become the best scuba diver you can be!

This is why most Open Water divers at The Bay Islands College of Diving immediately continue their education (at discount prices) with the Advanced Open Water course with their instructor!
