EFR Instructor
CPR/First Aid Instructor Training
Learn how to teach CPR/First Aid in Utila

It’s worth knowing that you don’t necessarily have to teach the EFR curriculum in a diving context. Many successful EFR Instructors teach Primary and/or secondary care or care for children courses at work, in youth movements or sports clubs.

Our High-Quality EFR Instructor course runs monthly and includes:

✔ All required EFR Instructor materials

✔ 1-2 Day Course

The complete course costs $369 USD (plus $125 USD PADI fees)

TEACH PEOPLE HOW TO SAVE LIVES. IT’S ONE OF THE MOST REWARDING THINGS YOU WILL EVER DO!

Becoming and Emergency First Response Instructor enables you to teach others how to become CPR and First Aid providers. This is a great addition to your skill set since every Rescue Diver also needs to hold a valid CPR/First Aid certification. The EFR Instructor rating is also mandatory when enrolling in the PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor training to become a dive instructor yourself.

The EFR Instructor course is a two-day curriculum which will introduce you to the Emergency First Response system of CPR and First Aid training. You will also refresh all of your skills and learn how to perform them at demonstration level. We will learn how to organize and market an EFR course, discuss which materials and teaching tools you need, where to get them and how to best use them.

At the end of the EFR Instructor course, you and your fellow candidates will organize an EFR course and teach several skills from the Emergency First Response curriculum, helping your ‘students’ by applying positive coaching techniques and giving them constructive feedback. It’s really a lot of fun!

BROADEN YOUR SKILLS

The Emergency First Response Instructor course can be taken as a standalone course or as part of our monthly IDC. Previous experience as a (dive) instructor is not needed to enroll in this program. Just a current CPR/First Aid certification within 24 months and you are good to go!
