Bay Islands College of Diving has an onsite research center!
The Whale Shark and Oceanic Research Center, a Honduran NGO where internships are available. If you want to experience working with likeminded ocean enthusiasts and want to further add to your resume, let us know! You will learn how to conduct research dives, give Whale Shark awareness presentations, see how Whale Shark tagging works and gather statistics and data about the state of Utila’s reef and it’s beautiful creatures.

The Utila Lodge (www.utilalodge.com) shares its dock with the Bay Islands College of Diving. With a total of three 45 foot dive boats, several smaller craft, a bar and restaurant and a sunbathing area with hammocks, we have the largest and most comfortable dock space in Utila. Perfect for quietly hiding away to study, relax with a beer after a busy day of diving or just to watch the sunset with the rest of the team!
